MIA is a diagnostic tool that enables researchers, policymakers, and institutions to analyse the numerous factors affecting a migration corridor and its impact on people on the move.

Existing literature often falls short in understanding how digital systems and infrastructure serve or harm people on the move. Migration corridors are often analysed through separate policy, community, and infrastructure lenses, overlooking how these factors intersect with digital systems. MIA maps pathways to understand each factor through a migrant-centric lens.
